Seafood Expo North America

SeafoodNews reported that the North American Seafood Expo, the largest seafood event in the continent, will take place in Boston from March 10th to 12th, 2024. This year’s expo, organized by Diversified Communications, is expected to break previous records, with the exhibition hall area expanding to 244,965 square feet.

The 42nd iteration of the event will see an increase in participation, with companies from 45 countries and regions, including Norway, the United Kingdom, Ecuador, and Chile, increasing their presence. New exhibitors from Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Mauritania, and Myanmar will also be present, showcasing the global appeal of the Seafood Expo North America.

An exciting addition to this year’s expo is the “Wave Makers” exhibition area, which will host special events such as new and specialty product displays, seafood excellence awards, oyster shelling competitions, and chef demonstration displays. This area highlights the expo’s commitment to showcasing emerging trends and talents in the seafood industry.

Winter Courmont, Vice President of Seafood at Diversified Communications, emphasizes the importance of the North American market for the global seafood industry. The expo serves as a platform for discussing key industry topics such as aquaculture, artificial intelligence, food safety, consumer trends, labor issues, and sustainability.

In addition to traditional seafood and processing exhibits, the 2024 expo will introduce a “new experience area” to foster increased communication and collaboration within the seafood industry. The “Wave Maker Zone” will feature live podcast interviews, sampling opportunities, and more.

The expo will feature exhibitors from emerging startups to established brands, focusing on innovation in various sectors of the industry. Highlighted companies include the Integrated Information Systems Company, Cesit Mensucat, and Seawise Innovative Packaging, representing the cutting edge in technology, sustainable practices, and innovative solutions in aquaculture and seafood processing.

Attendees can look forward to exploring products from industry leaders like Mowi, Cermaq, Anova Foods, Leroy USA, and Samuel Seafood, among others, showcasing their latest offerings.

The Seafood Expo North America will host an extensive conference program, providing educational opportunities on topics ranging from aquaculture technology to consumer trends and traceability, aiming to equip participants with knowledge and insights into the latest developments and challenges in the seafood sector.

The Seafood Expo North America in Boston is set to be a landmark event in the seafood industry calendar, with its largest-ever event and the introduction of the “Wave Maker” exhibition area.
