A joint venture agreement has been signed between a Malaysian company and two companies in Macau, the Special Administrative Region of China, to announce the commencement of operations at a container transportation center focusing on live seafood on March 6th. Ocean Transportation, the Malaysian company, has formed a strategic joint venture with Asia Express and Suniao Supply Chain in Macau to jointly manage the ocean transfer center located at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia.

This transshipment center will be Malaysia’s first container transportation center, aimed at meeting the growing demand for live seafood in Asia, particularly in China. According to the stock trading announcement released by MMAG Aviation Consortium, the parent company of Ocean Transportation, the center covers an area of 26000 square feet and is equipped with professional fish tank work areas and refrigeration facilities to ensure the highest quality and freshness standards.

Under the joint venture agreement, MMAG will hold 70% of the shares and be responsible for operating the center. Asia Express, primarily a freight agent for air freight companies in China and Malaysia, will hold up to 20% of the shares, while Suniao, a logistics company specializing in the cross-border e-commerce market from China to Southeast Asia, will hold 10% of the shares.

The establishment of this joint venture center signifies a new era of collaboration between Malaysian and Macau enterprises and is an important step in meeting the growing demand for live seafood in the Asian region. Through advanced facilities and strategic partnerships, this initiative will revolutionize the transportation and preservation methods of live seafood products, providing reliable solutions to meet the constantly evolving market demands.

The joint venture’s focus on live seafood transportation is a strategic response to the increasing demand for high-quality seafood in China and other parts of Asia. By leveraging the expertise and resources of all three companies, the center aims to streamline the transportation and distribution process, ensuring that live seafood products reach their destination in optimal condition.

In addition to catering to the demand for live seafood, the joint venture also plans to explore opportunities to expand its services to include other perishable goods, further solidifying its position as a key player in the regional transportation and logistics industry.

With the official commencement of operations on March 6th, the joint venture is poised to make a significant impact on the live seafood trade in the region, setting a new standard for quality and efficiency in transportation and distribution. The collaboration between Malaysian and Macau enterprises is a testament to the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships in the ever-growing Asian market. As the joint venture looks ahead, it is committed to delivering innovative and reliable solutions to meet the evolving needs of the market and contribute to the overall growth and development of the industry.
